Deliciously local

A village event? Well, not really

Client: Stichting Culinaire Venen

Brief: bring to our villages an annual event for inhabitants that is anything but parochial.

Concept: Event Station is at home in the world. Oh, and in our home town -or village. For our own backyard, we conceived a gastronomic event involving all the local eateries, all the local population -and a couple of hand-picked charities who can really put the proceeds to good use. Local shopkeepers sponsored the event, presented fashion shows and otherwise joined in the fun. Meanwhile, Event Station laid on a highly select group of entertainers already world famous in their own village, and ready to expand their horizon.

How happy was Stichting Culinaire Venen? “We might not be the largest community in the country. But 3000 visitors…. you can’t deny our village fete is more than parochial in scope. We are already looking forward to an eleventh edition.”

Sparkling

The cherry on the cake.

Client: Heineken

Brief: The presentation of bi-annual figures to a hundred or so highly influental business analysts: half in Holland, half in England.

Concept: something of a cocktail. Good old-fashioned logistic expertise, including an international transfer by chartered plane. Utmost discretion, in dealing with sensitive performance data and confidential presentations by board members. A sense of decorum, in selecting venues, designing atmospheres, building stages (indoors and out) and presenting past performance and future expectations. Technical flexibility, for premiering two new global commercials, including webcasts, and integrating conference calls. Number of errors permitted: zero.

How happy was Heineken? “It was hard work, a tough job, but at the end if it stood a nice cool glass -7 degrees, to be precise-for all concerned. A bit like a cherry on a cake.”

Strong together

Mission accomplished

Opdrachtgever: Postbank en ING

Brief: when two iconic financial companies merge, a lot of explaining is needed: to the press, to financial analysts, to managers in both companies. Approximately 400 people, all told.

Concept: Take your time -in this case, two full days- to inform and inspire transparently. The motto ‘strong together’ summed up the strategy that made unmistakable sense and helped forge unity.
It worked. Today, half of Holland has no idea things used to be different

How happy was ING? “The current situation seems almost as self-evident as is the continued involvement of Event Station in strategy communications and management conferences. So you might say: mission accomplished.”

A century of building

Event Station is invited to our next party.

Client: Geveke Bouw

Brief: it is an uncommon sight: a building company one hundred years old. As is a city centre almost single-handedly built by such a company. So a rather special party is called for.

Concept: present and past employees, their families and a wide range of business associates were invited for a walk through the inner city of Groningen, where they could experience ‘first hand’ some of Geveke’s major achievements. There were bus tours for the less mobile, and a tailor-made laser show showcasing corporate history. For those more interested in the here and now, there were culinary workshops and visits to Euroborg stadium, and to wrap it all up a rather flashy party with food, drink and entertainment -all out of the top drawer.

How happy was Geveke Bouw? “Event Station will be in charge of our next party.”

Formule

This stand was brilliant…

Client: Schuitema

Brief: a brand new supermarket concept for C1000 stores needs a showcase at the trade fair Provada. The only problem: there’s just 60 square metres of space available… and a very demanding target group including local government officials, project development agencies, and potential franchisees.

Concept: we used interactive shopping carts. Virtual shops. Walls that came to life. Little green men. It was quite a mixture. The result was a highly individual experience, full of surprises and conviction. And, of course, completed by a cup of private lable coffee, with a biscuit. .

How happy was Schuitema? “If you can’t grasp the concept of an interactive shopping cart, have a chat with one of the little green men. All will become clear, on this simply brilliant exhibition stand.”
