Customised!

A follow-up has already been scheduled

Client: Douane Nederland

Brief: Dutch Customs, as part of the national tax authority, believe in customer service, and organised a special business day to prove the point.

Concept: Event Station realised a floating pavillion in Rotterdam Harbour, laid on catering, contracted broadcaster Elsemieke Havinga for the interviews, and poet-comedian Jules Deelder for the introductions. The audience was invited to respond to statements which led to heated debate -and to a previously unseen insight into what makes the customs authority tick.

How happy was Douane Nederland? “Our customers described it as an unexpected view of a surprisingly versatile organisation. Which is exactly what we wanted to hear! So let’s schedule a follow-up next spring…”

Fifty years op co-operation

Nothing short of a happening

Client: Bebeka

Brief: Bebeka is half a century old. Time for an intimate get together—with 600 or so guests.

Concept: Taking a peek at the future on Groningen’s Martini Plaza. Introducing a new corporate video, a new corporate styling and a new strategy for the future -all in the company of old friends and associates. A special theatre show was produced including illusionist Hans Klok, singer Lee Towers, musicians Boston Tea Party and many others.

How happy was Bebeka? “The finale with the twin saxophones of Hans Dulfer and his daughter Candy was unforgettable. So was the rest of the evening. Well done, Event Station!”

ONE

Growing enthusiasm

Client: AEGON

Brief: a rapidly growing international organisation needs to be reminded of a common focus and a single-minded businessmodel.

Concept: Together with Readershouse Brand Media, Event Station produced the aptly named event ONE, that was laid on three times across Europe for audiences of 1000 per showing. Staff members were made to feel at home in an entourage in which information and inspiration were equally balanced, thanks to Event Station’s crew of 75 who ensured everything went ahead exactly as planned

How happy was AEGON? “We could actually see support for the new corporate strategy grow in front of our eyes.”

More than a party

On to the next!

Client: Koninklijke Wagenborg

Brief: establish a suitable presence during DelfSail

Concept: Koninklijke Wagenborg has been part of Delfzijl for well over a century, and the shipping/transportation company clearly needed an appropriate presence during the regional DelfSail event. And so, Event Station transformed the port’s quayside into a party zone for no less than three days: one for business associates, one for staff and their families, and one for everybody else.

The theme: Sign of Solutions. Three single digits symbolised 111 years of Koninklijke Wagenborg. The event attracted 8350 visitors -8351 if we include the Queen who turned up to christen Wagenborg’s newest high-tech ocean queen.

How happy was Koninklijke Wagenborg? “This third co-operation with Event Station was sealed, as usual, with a handshake rather a sheaf of legalese papers, and as usual the mutual trust proved well-deserved. It will be continued shortly, during our next collaboration.”

Three quarters of a century

It was fantastic!

Client: CBR

Brief: Help us celebrate our 75th birthday with a couple of friends….say 8000 or so !

Concept: Such a large audience requires a large venue. In this case, Gelredome Stadium in Arnhem. Day one: a huge party for 2600 staff members in which they laid on their own entertainment: a talented group indeed. A properly served sit-down diner was a pretty unique feature, as was the ensuing dance marathon in which the stadium roof was regularly (if metaphorically) raised. Day two: 5500 owners of driving schools attended a professional symposium called ‘Eye for traffic’ before they too were subjected to food, drink, music, dance and vibrating roofs. Party time!

How happy was CBR? “This event was not just fun, but also highly relevant. People learned a lot AND enjoyed themselves. Great!”
